Ausschreibung: 10 Post-Doc-Stellen am LOEWE-Zentrum „DynaRel“

OFFIZIELLER AUSSSCHREIBUNGSTEXT:

An der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, der Philipps-Universität Marburg und der Justus-Liebig-Institut Gießen wird vom Hessischen Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Forschung, Kunst und Kultur (HMWK) ein neues LOEWE-Zentrum mit dem Titel „Dynamiken des Religiösen: Ambivalente Nachbarschaften zwischen Judentum, Christentum und Islam in historischen und gegenwärtigen Konstellationen“ gefördert (2026-2032, 1. Förderphase 2026-2029). Das interdisziplinäre geistes- und sozialwissenschaftliche LOEWE-Zentrum konzentriert sich unter der Federführung der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt in seinen fünf Programmbereichen und 31 Teilprojekten d

arauf, mit Hilfe des relationalen Theoriekonzepts der „Nachbarschaften“ die vielschichtigen – dialogischen wie konflikthaften – religiösen, kulturellen und politisch-sozialen Verflechtungen und Dynamiken zwischen Judentum, Christentum und Islam in Geschichte und Gegenwart zu erforschen. Der akademische Koordinator des LOEWE Zentrums ist Prof. Dr. Christian Wiese (Goethe-Universität Frankfurt); als Stellvertreterinnen fungieren Prof. Dr. Armina Omerika (Goethe-Universität Frankfurt) und Prof. Dr. Antje Röder (Philipps-Universität Marburg).

Am Fachbereich Evangelische Theologie der Goethe-Universität (Sitz der Koordination) sind vorbehaltlich der endgültigen Bewilligung durch das HMWK zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt 10drittmittelfinanzierte Stellen von

befristet bis zum 31.12.2029 zu besetzen. Die Eingruppierung richtet sich nach den Tätigkeitsmerkmalen des für die Goethe-Universität geltenden Tarifvertrages (TV-G-U).

Die ausgeschriebenen Stellen sind nach Maßgabe der beteiligten Fachbereiche und Disziplinen thematisch und methodisch unterschiedlich ausgerichtet. Das Zentrum gliedert sich in fünf Programmbereiche, denen an der Goethe-Universität folgende Teilprojekte und Postdoc-Stellen zugeordnet sind:

Programmbereich 1: Religiös-kulturelle Verflechtungen: Übersetzung – Transfer – Medialität

Kernaufgaben

Entwicklung und Durchführung eines eigenen Forschungsprojekts mit dem Ziel einer Habilitation oder Monografie im thematischen Rahmen eines der Teilprojekte an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt
Mitarbeit in der theoriegeleiteten Forschung der Disziplin, in der das eigene Forschungsprojekt bearbeitet wird, sowie an übergreifenden theoretischen Fragestellungen des LOEWE-Zentrums
Mitwirkung an den gemeinsamen interdisziplinären Veranstaltungen, Kolloquien und Publikationen des LOEWE-Zentrums.
Mitarbeit an der Organisation von Workshops und Tagungen im Rahmen des jeweiligen Teilprojekts bzw. Programmbereichs sowie des Gesamtprojekts
Mitwirkung an Drittmittelanträgen im Kontext des jeweiligen Teilprojekts oder übergreifender Forschungsinitiativen.

Anforderungsprofil

ein mindestens gut abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium und eine sehr gute Promotion in einem für das jeweilige Teilprojekt einschlägigen Fachgebiet (u.a. Religionswissenschaft, Judaistik, Islamische Studien, Evangelische bzw. Katholische Theologie, Geschichtswissenschaft, Philosophie, Archäologie, Ethnologie/Kulturanthropologie, Soziologie, Erziehungswissenschaft)
nachgewiesene Fähigkeit zu eigenständigem, theoretisch fundiertem wissenschaftlichem Arbeiten
Fähigkeit zur selbständigen, strukturierten und teamorientierten Arbeit, ausgeprägte Kommunikations- und Organisationsfähigkeit, Bereitschaft zur interdisziplinären Kooperation
ausgezeichnete Englischkenntnisse, gute bis sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse oder Bereitschaft, diese in kurzer Zeit zu erwerben

Core tasks

Development and implementation of your own research project with the aim of obtaining a postdoctoral qualification or publishing a monograph within the thematic framework of one of the subprojects at Goethe University Frankfurt
Collaboration in theory-driven research in the discipline in which your own research project is being carried out, as well as on overarching theoretical issues at the LOEWE Center
Participation in the joint interdisciplinary events, colloquia, and publications of the LOEWE Center
Collaboration on the organization of workshops and conferences within the framework of the respective subproject or program area as well as the overall project
Participation in third-party funding applications in the context of the respective subproject or overarching research initiatives

Requirements

at least a good university degree and an excellent doctorate in a subject area relevant to the respective subproject (including religious studies, Jewish studies, Islamic studies, Protestant or Catholic theology, history, philosophy, archaeology, ethnology/cultural anthropology, sociology, education)
proven ability to work independently and conduct theoretically sound scientific research
Ability to work independently, in a structured and team-oriented manner, strong communication and organizational skills, willingness to engage in interdisciplinary cooperation
excellent English skills, good to very good German skills, or willingness to acquire them in a short period of time
specific additional language skills and technical/methodological competencies within the scope of the respective subproject (see project description)
strong interest in interreligious, intercultural, and social theory issues
Experience in the field of digital methods or willingness to undergo intensive training in digital humanities, cultural studies, or social sciences
Experience in project management, designing and writing research proposals, and independently planning and implementing scientific events is desirable
Willingness to participate in the supervision of doctoral students at the LOEWE Center
